U.S. home builders remained cautious about the housing market in March.
Builder confidence in the market for single-family homes is seasonally adjusted 47 in March, the National Association of Home Builders said Monday. Any Readings below 50 indicate that more builders view conditions as poor than good.
Considering that the index in February had recorded the biggest one-month decline in history, economists now are more concerned about the future of the US Housing Market.

Sales of existing homes declined 5.1% from December to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.62 million, the National Association of Realtors said Friday.

"Disruptive and prolonged winter weather patterns across the country are impacting a wide range of economic activity, and housing is no exception," said NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun.
Yet Yun also cited other obstacles, including tight credit, higher prices, higher mortgage rates and limited inventory.
